The call is from Ryderâs number. âHello, sexy Katie.â
âHi there.â
âHow was your day?â
Sitting on the couch, I lean back and stretch my legs out onto the coffee table. âBusy, but boring, if that makes sense.â I enjoy my work, and I love living at the resort, but ever since saying goodbye to the Kings, thereâs a strange new quality of emptiness to my everyday routine.
âPerfect sense,â Ryder says. âThings were busy here, too. Iâm going to put you on speaker so my brothers can join in. Weâre at home, so you can talk freely.â
âOh, is that right?â I feel a kick of nervous excitement. âHi, Logan; hello, Sky.â
The men return my greetings, and itâs almost like theyâre here with me, but itâs somehow also doubly frustrating that theyâre actually hundreds of miles away.
âSo, you mentioned dreams this morning?â Sky prompts.
âI did.â Why do I suddenly feel shy? I got naked in the forest with them and got myself off while they watched. How could I possibly be intimidated by the prospect of phone sex? Maybe itâs because Iâm alone, and theyâre so far away. When Iâm with them, they seem to bring out new sides to me.
âWeâve been having dreams about you, and thinking about you during all of our waking hours, too,â Sky says.
My heart swells. âSame. Youâve been disturbing my sleep quite a lot, actually.â
âThatâs no good,â Logan says, his voice triggering an instant rush of wetness between my legs. âYouâd better get your rest now, because when we get back, youâll be lucky if we let you sleep at all.â
âIs that right?â
âItâs a promise.â
âYou make a lot of promises.â
âAnd youâll learn that weâll be good on all of them, but for now, letâs get you nice and relaxed so you can get a solid nightâs sleep.â His words may sound innocent, but his tone is anything but. A little shiver runs through me. âWhere are you, and what are you wearing?â
Ahh, here we go. âIâm on my couch in my room, still wearing my workday clothes, pants and a blouse.â
âFirst, turn down the lights in your room. Soft lighting will help you relax,â Logan says.
âOkay.â I turn on the small lamp on my nightstand and flick off the overhead light.
âNow go to your bed, put us on speaker and lay your phone down nearby,â Sky instructs.
âDone and done.â
âAre you wearing shoes?â Ryder asks.
âNo, I leave them at the door.â
âGood. Take off your pants first.â Though the idea of phone sex is intimidating, removing my clothing is much easier without their eyes on me. Iâm surprised they donât request we do FaceTime, though this voice-only call suits their old-school romantic style of handwritten notes and drawings.
âDone,â I confirm.
âNow your blouse. Take it off.â I do, and little goosebumps rise up as the menâs voices go lower and quieter, making this feel more intimate than I would expect. âAre you down to your underwear?â
âYes.â
âSlip the bra straps off your shoulders,â Logan instructs. âUndo the clasp and release your beautiful breasts.
