The call is from Ryder’s number. “Hello, sexy Katie.”

“Hi there.”

“How was your day?”

Sitting on the couch, I lean back and stretch my legs out onto the coffee table. “Busy, but boring, if that makes sense.” I enjoy my work, and I love living at the resort, but ever since saying goodbye to the Kings, there’s a strange new quality of emptiness to my everyday routine.

“Perfect sense,” Ryder says. “Things were busy here, too. I’m going to put you on speaker so my brothers can join in. We’re at home, so you can talk freely.”

“Oh, is that right?” I feel a kick of nervous excitement. “Hi, Logan; hello, Sky.”

The men return my greetings, and it’s almost like they’re here with me, but it’s somehow also doubly frustrating that they’re actually hundreds of miles away.

“So, you mentioned dreams this morning?” Sky prompts.

“I did.” Why do I suddenly feel shy? I got naked in the forest with them and got myself off while they watched. How could I possibly be intimidated by the prospect of phone sex? Maybe it’s because I’m alone, and they’re so far away. When I’m with them, they seem to bring out new sides to me.

“We’ve been having dreams about you, and thinking about you during all of our waking hours, too,” Sky says.

My heart swells. “Same. You’ve been disturbing my sleep quite a lot, actually.”

“That’s no good,” Logan says, his voice triggering an instant rush of wetness between my legs. “You’d better get your rest now, because when we get back, you’ll be lucky if we let you sleep at all.”

“Is that right?”

“It’s a promise.”

“You make a lot of promises.”

“And you’ll learn that we’ll be good on all of them, but for now, let’s get you nice and relaxed so you can get a solid night’s sleep.” His words may sound innocent, but his tone is anything but. A little shiver runs through me. “Where are you, and what are you wearing?”

Ahh, here we go. “I’m on my couch in my room, still wearing my workday clothes, pants and a blouse.”

“First, turn down the lights in your room. Soft lighting will help you relax,” Logan says.

“Okay.” I turn on the small lamp on my nightstand and flick off the overhead light.

“Now go to your bed, put us on speaker and lay your phone down nearby,” Sky instructs.

“Done and done.”

“Are you wearing shoes?” Ryder asks.

“No, I leave them at the door.”

“Good. Take off your pants first.” Though the idea of phone sex is intimidating, removing my clothing is much easier without their eyes on me. I’m surprised they don’t request we do FaceTime, though this voice-only call suits their old-school romantic style of handwritten notes and drawings.

“Done,” I confirm.

“Now your blouse. Take it off.” I do, and little goosebumps rise up as the men’s voices go lower and quieter, making this feel more intimate than I would expect. “Are you down to your underwear?”

“Yes.”

“Slip the bra straps off your shoulders,” Logan instructs. “Undo the clasp and release your beautiful breasts.
